Bangor University’s Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Centre of Excellence, based at M-SParc, is a £6M research centre undertaking highly specialised research into digital communication systems such as 5G networks and ecosystems. Innovative DSP algorithms embedded in network devices are a cost-effective way of speeding up networks, dynamically and optimally sharing network resources and implementing power managed devices for low-carbon networks.
One aspect of the DSP Centre is the use of curring edge technologies, on the application layer, as use-cases that make use of these ‘future networks’. This theme has strong synergies with the themes of XR and Immersive Analytics. These are also related to the activities of the Bangor Immersive Environments Lab (BIEL).
Links to prototypes will be posted here, as they become available/public.
